We currently have an opening for a Collections Manager (m/f) based in Hannover, Germany
Your job is to manage Collection processes for 6 European Operating Companies customer satisfaction is achieved and service levels are met or exceeded for all customer requirements.
Job-Beschreibung:
- Responsible for the management and development of the collections teams (SEE COMMENTS BELOW) ensuring that each area within the department meets and exceeds its KPIs and ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Ensure that robust collection procedures are in place with specific focus on reducing DSO and overdue debt & improving cash receipts delivering a seamless end to end process for the customer
- To meet or exceed SLAs to deliver a high level of customer (internal and external) satisfaction
- To lead and implement strategic initiatives linked to corporate objectives in order to ensure continuous improvement and best practice
- Responsible for ensure that the headcount and operating departmental costs are within budget and that costs are well controlled
- Lead, motivate and organise personnel to adhere to core values and deliver a high level of staff engagement
- Efficient management of virtual teams of collectors (collectors may be located outside the SSC country of operation)
- Work with other shared service entities to ensure alignment of structure, process and procedure, sharing best practice across shared services and driving continuous improvement
- Introduce/maintain high levels of process automation to reduce costs and increase speed & timeliness of transactional processing
- Ensure all staff are properly trained and have appropriate resources available to be successful in their roles
- Instigate legal proceedings against delinquent debtors and ensuring management of associated costs
Gewünschtes Profil:
- University degree in finance or business administration or equivalent
- Professional collections qualification preferred
- Minimum of 10 years'' work experience in Collections
- Minimum of 5 years'' experience of efficient and effective leadership
- Must have a strong customer focus (for internal stakeholders and external customers)
- Must be able to prioritise and make decisions; delegation skills are required
- Must be an effective and confident communicator (written and verbal)
- Must be able to motivate and generate enthusiasm throughout the organisation; Possess a winning spirit
- Excellent interpersonal, relationship building, negotiation and influencing skills with ability to communicate at all levels through an organisation
- Highly numerate & strong analytical skills
- Must be able to read/write/speak English fluently
- Must be able to read/write/speak the local language where the shared service centre is located
- A European or Nordic language helpful, but not required
- Strong knowledge of Collection strategies to improve staff productivity
- Working knowledge of Oracle financials is a plus
- An excellent track record of successful debt management in large, complex and dynamic businesses, international experience would be very helpful
- Strong PC skills, with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
