Product Line Manager
Location:

Essential
Functions:
· Recommend, develop, and pursue long-term growth
objectives and strategic plans for assigned families of Crouse-Hinds products
in order to achieve financial objectives
· Identify and recommend new products for development
and/or private branding
· Implement and effectively coordinate the new product
development process to insure timing of product introduction and acceptance in
the market. Recommend and initiate changes or deletions in current products and
pricing necessary to maintain and increase sales and profits in accordance with
Crouse-Hinds goals and policy.
· Maintain current and required knowledge of the
marketplace to be thoroughly appraised of all new or modified product
opportunities as well as developments that may impact our products or ability
to sell them.
· Determine competitive standing of current products
in relation to price, features and performance.
· Evaluate product success and opportunities in the
marketplace through direct contacts with field sales, customers, and
distributors. Recommend adjustments to marketing and sales efforts when and
where necessary.
· Plan and determine product pricing policy consistent
with sound price and discount practices to obtain optimum volume and market
position.
· Recommend and develop marketing strategies and
programs along with promotional materials to increase market share of existing
products. Design sales collateral with assistance from the Marcom group.
· Activities of this position require good leadership
qualities, project management skills, the ability to establish priorities and
to coordinate with Division Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance,
Field Sales, and Customer Service.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or
marketing from an accredited institution
· 3-7 years work experience in marketing, sales,
product development, or engineering
· Manufacturing/operations awareness and understanding
of financial impact to product line performance
· Knowledge of the electrical industry and relevant
codes and standards is a plus
