We are looking for an European Process Owner (m/f) Procurement
Your responsibilities
The Finance Operations Europe (FOE) organization oversees Shared Services, Internal Controls and Process Improvement Projects in the areas of purchase-to-pay as well as record-to-report across 21 countries and 3 SAP platforms. Finance Operations Europe has three main responsibilities:
* Drive towards benchmark efficiency and effectiveness of processes in Shared Services through state-of-the-art process design
* Monitor Shared Services Operations and drive continuous improvement through application of LEAN principles
* Ensure appropriate levels of Internal Controls in Europe
The “Transformation Projects” department within FOE has the end-to-end process responsibility for purchase-to-pay. The European Process Owner “Procurement” is a project management position expected to define, plan and implement procurement projects in the area of Shared Services:
* Define strategy for Procurement Operations in Shared Services (Shared Services location; scope of services in SSC; split of activities; processes and tools)
* Define and preserve the procurement process core model for Shared Services in Europe
* Drive continuous improvement of processes through simplification, harmonization and standardization, taking into account requirements such as Tax, Legal and Internal Controls
* Manage all projects related to Procurement Operations excellence (negotiation scope, SSC integration of Merial and other external acquisitions, Vendor Master Data, increase of PO- and catalogue penetration etc.)
* Represent Region Europe in major corporate Procurement projects to identify impacts on core model and facilitate country roll out including eBuy, Vendor Portal, Restricted Party Screening, HCP spend reporting, Payment Factory etc.
* Work closely with Shared Services Operations management to monitor procurement operations and manage procurement shared services priorities in order to increase customer satisfaction
* Drive better practice sharing across Europe through organization and facilitation of Process Champion events
Your qualifications
* Previous management position in country, regional, or global procurement organization
* Successful track record in effectively delivering process optimization and organizational change projects (often several projects in parallel)
* Experience in working in a Shared Services / Outsourcing environment
* Project Management certification such as the “Project Management Professional (PMP)” or equivalent is a plus
* International background with exposure to multicultural environments is a plus
* LEAN certification is a plus
* Very good understanding of procurement processes and procurement operations
* Very good understanding of a Shared Services / Outsourcing operating model
* Very good project management skills
* Good understanding of common Information System (IS) solutions used within Sanofi Finance / Procurement incl. SAP / ARIBA / COUPA
* Ability to analyse complex problems with structure and define pragmatic solutions
* Personality with strong delivery skills and highest levels of proactivity
* Very good communicator with an ability to discuss on senior executive level within the Sanofi Procurement and Finance organization
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
* Willingness to travel on a frequent basis within Europe
