They are specialized in industrial container transportation for several industries including automotive, food & beverage, chemistry, FMCG, and -commodities Several thousand employees ensure the transportation and delivery of millions of carrier loads on a daily basis for over 300.000 clients. As part of the constant expansion we are looking for a Packaging Engineer (m/f) Automotive & Industrial Solutions Europe. Job-Beschreibung: - Generate and maintain a database of relevant packaging options, their application with reference to the market segment and their suppliers. - Identify and manage potential tooling and packaging suppliers within Europe - Provide advice on the best potential packaging solution for each application - Technically evaluate packaging solutions offered by suppliers - Organize and manage appropriate testing, to ensure packaging meets design requirements. - Conduct assessments of packaging supplier capabilities, - Develop suppliers, and monitor their technical performance. - Work closely with Customer Solutions , Marketing and Sales team to prioritize, lead and drive new product and technology development programs aimed at business growth and revenue generation - Quickly assess customer needs and innovation opportunities using Customer Needs Mapping, QFD, FMEA, and other product development tools - Manage the process of packaging design, through design concept, prototyping, and production sample acquisition - Provide continuous, timely and accurate reporting of status of all packaging development - Take design concepts from our client's Packaging Engineers and turn them into elaborate design solutions that can be displayed and recommended to the market - Leverage our client's global knowledge and apply to Europe Auto projects - Hold presentations and communications Gewünschtes Profil: - Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or higher - Minimum of 5 years of experience in packaging engineering and technologies with direct relevance to the automotive industry - Proficient in the use of CATIA and Solidworks CAD software - Experience in packaging engineering and technologies with direct relevance to the automotive industry being advantageous - Proven ability to conduct technical assessments (Customer Needs Mapping) and to drive creative application solutions integrating quality and analysis tools such as FMEA and Design for Assembly. - Knowledge of metal materials packaging products is essential. - Excellent communicator with demonstrated ability as a cross-functional team player and program leader - Excellent written and verbal German and English skills - Good knowledge and use of facilitation skills; familiarity with Quality Improvement Process tools Studiumsniveau: Master's Degree Berufserfahrung: 7 - 10 Jahre Beginn des Vertrages: 09-06-15 Vertragslaufzeit: Ganztags
