Have you built and led a successful infrastructure consulting practice for a major IT platform leader? Amazon Web Services business in Germany is hiring highly technical cloud computing architects to help AWS partners develop technical expertise and capacity, and to work with AWS partners on various customer engagements. AWS solutions architects deliver IT infrastructure architecture guidance, support proof-of-concept projects, draft and propose enterprise portfolio assessments, review operation best practices and support skills transfer workshops. They collaborate with customers and partners to address security and compliance, performance and scale, availability and manageability. They provide guidance on migrating existing customer systems and on building new systems using the AWS platform. Amazon Web Services business in Germany is now adding a few experienced Practice Managers to help define, design and to support the infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) cloud consulting model of the future, to contribute to accelerate adoption of the AWS platform. Responsibilities include: Collaborate with enterprise account managers to facilitate strong customer and partner relationships and help grow the business in Germany and contribute to generate AWS adoption. Contribute to infrastructure engagements - including support on short on-site projects to ensure customer success in building applications and services on the AWS platform. Coach and teach - collaborate with AWS account management, training and support teams to help partners and customers learn and use AWS services such as Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3), Amazon Simple DB/RDS databases, AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), etc. Contribute to high quality support of a variety of customized technical engagements with partners and enterprise customers in the commercial and public sectors. Lead great people - attract top IT architecture talent to build high performing teams of solutions architects with superior technical depth, and outstanding customer relationship skills. Be a customer advocate - Work with AWS engineering teams to convey partner and enterprise customer feedback as input to AWS technology roadmaps.
