Product Manager Metal Coatings Building & Construction EMEA
Responsibilities and deliverables
Working from either Hilden, Germany, or Sassenheim, the Netherlands, your core functions are to create relevant value propositions for customer segments in the Building & Construction market in accordance with the segment plans, and to actively manage products as a portfolio, introducing new products and phasing out obsolete products. At the same time you create an open and productive environment for your team.
This requires you to work with R&D in terms of product development, and with marketing specialists in terms of brand management and positioning as well as the development of communications materials. In addition you analyze competitive products and claims and ensure that the Sales team is equipped with accurate and relevant information.
Further, you proactively manage and plan the departmental budget and costs, continuously reporting on progress. Finally, you familiarize yourself with all applicable corporate as well as site policies/procedures and act in compliance with all applicable regulations.
Candidate profile
To apply for this position you must possess the following attributes:
* Scientific Bachelors degree, ideally in the chemical field, with a further Masters degree in business/marketing a significant advantage;
* Proven experience in performing competitive analysis, understanding and defining portfolio strategy, researching market and customer needs, and writing and driving the development of a variety of programs and sales tools;
* Excellent communication skills including fluent English and the ability to present to senior management and represent senior management in and outside of the organization;
* Proven experience in the development of messaging, positioning, sales tools, and market analysis;
* Ability to work both independently and cross-culturally and to travel internationally;
* Strong negotiator
