Head of Sales – Static Excitation Systems and Automatic Voltage regulators (m/f) As Head of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in pursuing our ambitious goals in the fast-paced global market for excitation systems. Location: Turgi, Aargau, Switzerland Job Function: Sales Job Reference Code: CH56760242 Tasks: * Lead and develop a high-calibre sales team responsible for selling, promoting and marketing the full range of DMPC-PE products in allocated countries * Monitor and analyse allocated countries (including competing products and technologies), gather market information and work in close cooperation with product management to ensure a product/system portfolio tailored to current requirements * Pursue and follow up potential leads, assess enquiries (including risks), define effective sales strategies, prepare bids in response to RFPs/tenders and present proposals to customers * Conduct negotiations at a technical and commercial level and secure order intake with budgeted gross and net margins, in addition to analysing orders and managing hand-over processes within the company * Support the process of drawing up annual budgets and monthly forecasts for allocated countries - Prepare, implement and monitor marketing action plans for key markets * Attend and contribute to Product Management and Marketing & Communication meetings as well as team workshops Requirements: * Qualifications as an Electrical Engineer – preferably underpinned by a Business degree – and a proven track record in sales, marketing and business development * Well-developed leadership, negotiating and organisational skills * Industry knowledge in Power Generation, Balance of Plant and generators * Solid understanding of contractual agreements as well as the ability to estimate technical and commercial risks * Roficiency in the use of MS Office, SAP * Fluent command of English; additional language skills advantageous -experienced in working in an international environment with good communication skills and intercultural sensitivity * Readyness to travel internationally Additional information: ABB is able to offer you an interesting role within a highly motivated team, together with open communication structures.
