Chemist in Safety, Health and Environment Switzerland, Basle-Town, Basle Job profile: * Single point of contact for all Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) related matters of the department * Conducting of risk analyses for chemical processes and technical projects * Assessment of chemical projects from a sustainability, toxicity and technical safety view. Establish and foster cooperation with various internal stakeholders, e.g. pilot plant, laboratory-teams of PTDCA and local safety departments as well as with external stake holders. Contribute to local and international working groups * Ensure that internal and external regulations are enforced, fulfilled and prepared for inspections * Managing of technical projects with plant manager and engineering * Leading of operative safety group Who you are You're someone who wants to influence your own development. Your profile: * Completed course of studies in chemistry or chemical engineering with good knowledge in organic chemistry * Professional experience preferably in a pilot-/ production plant or in a synthesis development laboratory environment * Experience and good understanding of technical aspects of chemical plants is mandatory * Experience in safety, health and environment aspects is a plus * Good communication skills in order to manage the contact with different internal and external stake holders * Open minded for new topics and able to deal with changes * Language fluency in German (preferred mother tongue) and English Who we are Basel is the headquarters of the Roche Group and one of its most important centres of pharmaceutical research.
