Front-end-focused Rails Developer (m/f) Growth The XING growth cluster builds the infrastructure that enables our new users to sign up and helps members to quickly and easily benefit from our social network, job market, events marketplace and other products. The teams in the growth cluster are passionate about getting new users up and running with our products and using data science-backed intelligence to guide new users towards an ideal XING experience. The growth cluster consists of around 30 people working in the Development, Project Management, Product, UX, QA, business development, search engine marketing and SEO teams. And we’re looking for you to help us! A challenging task: A highly responsible position, implementing sophisticated yet pragmatic user-facing additions to the XING platform to help grow our member base. An awesome and professional cross-functional team in a mature and highly dynamic and agile development environment. You’ll be working as a front-end-focused RoR engineer who’s not afraid to touch the back end and other non-ruby technologies - whatever gets the job done. Don’t fall in love with your solution – always challenge the status quo and be prepared to forge new paths, even if this means throwing away yesterday's best idea to make room for tomorrow's. A convincing background: Strong front-end skills (HTML, CSS, JS, responsive/adaptive), Ruby, RoR, Git. Database experience and other programming languages (Perl, ObjectiveC, JavaScript, Elixir) are beneficial; good understanding of underlying internet technologies. You’re a team player: know your skills, love to share them, know your boundaries and thrive to learn from and with your team. You have a good sense of humour, solid English skills and are eager to work in a multicultural environment. We’re looking for a passionate developer with previous experience in building web applications that serve the user and scale as well. Maintaining the cutting edge of software development is what gets you out of bed every morning. You like building products for users – be it for the end user or another internal team.
