Chemical / Process Engineer (temp. for 2 years) Switzerland, Basle-Town, Basle In this role, based in the area of the materials science department within the chemical process development, you will be responsible for the following activities: * Development of methods for the large scale production of pharmaceuticals (drug substance) with tailor-made solid properties * Scale-up / -down and modeling of process steps in the field of solids process engineering (e.g. crystallization, filtration, drying, milling) * Assessment of typical parameters for the systematic characterization of unit operations (e.g. crystallization, filtration, drying, milling) * Development of non-established processes in the field of particle engineering * Cooperation with pharmaceutical technology department to define solid state properties for further processing * (Temporary) lead of particle engineering lab or process engineering lab * Scientific support of university projects The developed processes will be optimized in an interdisciplinary team of professionals, piloted and finally transferred to the production.
