JOB DESCRIPTION
Manager Human Resources Recruiting
PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Manager Human Resources Recruiting is responsible for all recruitment related activities
within Viking Cruises (river and ocean cruises). Furthermore the Manager HR Recruiting is
supporting the coordination of all HR Marketing activities including digital, social
and print medias.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Verify recruiting profiles & selection criteria with all involved departments
• Conduct personal and Skype interviews for onboard crew, senior officers,
corporate- and head-office positions
based positions
• Organisation and execution of assessment centers (location planning, communication with
recruiting agencies worldwide, screening, selection, interviews, statistics)
• Participate in recruiting events on board and land based throughout Europe
• Supervision and control over candidate resource pool
• Efficient handling of crewing requests
• Support defining measures to establish employer branding in the relevant markets in close
coordination with global marketing
• Elaborate & implement HR-Marketing mix to attract number & quality of employees
• Provide social media (Newsletter, Gadgets, Facebook, LinkedIn, Xing, Kununu) services
for crew information, retention managementand candidate attraction
• Research competitor conditions, visa requirements & industry trends ( Benchmarking)
• Follow defined recruiting processesin an effective & efficient manner to ensure given budgets
and optimize if necessary
• Ensure adequate reporting of recruiting status quo & measures at all times
• Maintain business relationships with a trusted network of high quality recruiting agencies in all
relevant markets
• Business travel: 20 – 25 per cent worldwide

Human Resources
YOUR PROFILE
Graduated education in hotel / tourism industry
Min. 2 years professional experience in same or similar position
International experience / experience on a ship is an asset
Excellent English skills (written and verbal), other languages are an advantage
Excellent computer knowledge (Office, MXP, SAP), administrative experience
Excellent organisational and communicational skills
Ability to work independently, service-oriented and guest focused
Positive personality and great people judgement
Flexibility and stress resistance, team player, commitment
Open for new ideas, honest, critical, energetic and enthusiastic
