To ensure an outstanding user experience and flawless scaling of their products, they are now looking for an enthusiastic and technically brilliant Team Lead Development / Head of Development (m/f) with experience in the new financial economy. The successful candidate will be based in Berlin and report directly to the CTO. Job-Beschreibung: - You will lead and further grow the development team and establish a truly digital spirit and culture where excellent code is being celebrated - Therefore you provide your unit with technical wisdom which you gained through years of experience and bring everyone up to speed when it comes to latest technology standards - You stay on top of new market opportunities within online financial services / FinTech which will be the key to future success - You will work together with highly motivated nerds and passionate developers who care about technical brilliance leading to commercial success of our clients products - You will be a strong and reliable partner to the CTO who will trust you to make your own technical decisions, drive process improvements, define FinTech standards, set clear targets and give vision to your team - Next to the CTO and your own team you will mainly interact with head of product, operations lead, business analysts, subject matter experts and upper management (Managing Directors) - You will provide both technical and personal leadership to the development team to maintain and enhance the high-traffic platform with steady and reliable processes - You and your development team will define implementation options as customer needs are identified, increase technical facility and code quality and deliver clear functional and technical roadmaps - Your Job will include development and design of the online platform and other business applications, prototyping solutions and conducting peer code reviews - Besides the programming part you will motivate your team members to perform, provide them with feedback and coaching, recognize and develop their strengths - You will enjoy participating in hands-on development as part of the team effort Gewünschtes Profil: - University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related engineering fields - You are a coding enthusiast and ready to share your technical expertise in building high-traffic, market disrupting online platforms by leading and further growing a team of keen developers - You have experience in online financial services and a track record in building lean and target oriented teams that enjoy working together - You have 2 or more years of experience in leadership roles and managing a minimum of 5 developers, ideally using agile methodologies; i.e. Scrum, Kanban - You gained at least 5 years of hands-on coding experience in developing complex online platforms - Strong technical background using object oriented programming languages; ideally coding PHP or if specialized in other languages you at least gained experience with PHP out of technical curiosity - You have experience in recru
