We are seeking a (Senior) Knowledge Analyst f/m – Lean & Manufacturing for our office in Düsseldorf PRACTICE AREA The Operations Practice area is one of BCG's eight functional practices. We help our clients create competitive advantage by enhancing their performance and building strategic capabilities. BCG's expertise in operations covers the following areas: supply chain management, procurement, lean manufacturing, service, cost efficiency, operational transformation, research and product development, and program management. RESPONSIBILITIES We are looking for a candidate to fill a (Senior) Knowledge Analyst position within the Lean & Manufacturing domain of our Operations Practice area. This practice area is one of BCG's eight functional practices. The Lean & Manufacturing topic comprises an expert network of Knowledge Team members and experienced consultants who help our clients on specific service-related cases. The work will cover the full spectrum of our manufacturing offering, including manufacturing strategy (e.g., make or buy), manufacturing network optimization, as well as lean manufacturing principles and tools applied to factory performance improvement and production system implementations. In this role, the (Senior) Knowledge Analyst will be working closely with consulting teams to help build capabilities from BCG's lean manufacturing offering at our corporate clients. A key element of our offering is to provide trainings for existing and potential clients by using BCG's Lean Model Factory (LMF) and other simulations, which this analyst would support through coordinating logistics and assisting in delivery of training. These hands-on simulations teach key lean principles and best practices to clients at many levels of their organizations. The Operations Practice area strives to help our clients create competitive advantage in operations by enhancing their performance and building strategic capabilities. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS You hold a master's degree or an advanced university degree in business administration, engineering, or a similar field, and have demonstrated high academic achievements. You also have relevant work experience, e.g., specific knowledge of the operations space (lean manufacturing, lean principles, manufacturing, etc.) or consulting experience, either in a multinational company or in a consultancy. You also have very good organizational skills and effective management skills. In addition, you are very strong in proactively and creatively thinking "outside the box," you are a self-starter, and you are highly solution-oriented. You possess outstanding analytical and communication skills, have an excellent command of the English and German language, a service-oriented approach, as well as excellent interpersonal skills, and you are able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks in parallel. You are confident and enjoy coordinating and, in some cases, facilitating topic-related trainings both internally and externally.
