You like the feel and power of working in a start-up?You want to make a real difference in our world-wide Finance and Controlling functions?Then join The Kreditech Group as our Director Finance / SVP Finance.Our vision is to become the "Digital Bank for Everyone".We use big data, algorithms and automated processes to offer financial products to the underbanked and the 4bn people with no credit score. “Kredi” stands for the subsidiaries issuing credit to private individuals in currently nine countries. “Tech” is the Hamburg-based tech company developing banking technology.Founded in 2012, Kreditech Group has a revenue run rate of USD 50m and a team of 220 passionate employees from 40 nations working on the algo-banking of the future.Your Role:Overall responsibility for the Accounting, Tax and Controlling of a global consumer finance group, combining the best of Financial Services/ Bank and technology/ internet accounting & controllingOverall responsibility for financial planning, reporting and budget managementFurther develop and manage the largely automated preparation of all financial reports, the budgeting process and financial forecastsMonitor and analyze operating results against budget; recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performancePrepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisionsEnsure compliance with local, state, and financial and reporting requirements. Serve as primary regulator liaison for financial mattersWork with the respective department heads to design organisational structure adequate for achieving the departments’ goalsManage financial audit processesIn summary, lead Kreditech’s internal Finance functions (Accounting, Tax and Controlling) self-sufficiently, reporting directly to the CFO who is focusing primarily on the external Finance functionsYour Profile:Master Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business with very strong Accounting and Controlling experience, with a minimum of five years experience in senior level finance / accounting / controlling positionsExcellent knowledge and at least three years experience in managing automated financial accounting and reporting for financial services. Ideally experience in managing the finance function in technology-/ internet-related businesses. Very strong understanding for in-house datacenter-based reporting processes (BI)Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, with substantial experience in managing IFRS-based accounting and reportingGood understanding for accounting-related legal / regulatory requirementsOutstanding ability to analyze and communicate financial data / analysis, reports, statements and projectionsStrong team player; strong interpersonal and communication skillsPersonal stamina to lead and represent a department with a large number of internal and external stakeholders, including Kreditech’s diversified and global investor baseStrong analytical, critical thinking and decision making skills  Excellent communication skills, pre-dominantly in English language and to a lesser extent in GermanYour Personality:You get along with just about everyone.
