We are looking for a DE Senior Manager Transportation (m/f) to join our team. The Senior Manager Germany is a key contributor within the European (EU) Operations team and will be responsible for Amazon´s DE Transportation and Logistics Provider management. The Senior Transportation Manager Germany works with Amazon's Fulfilment Centres (FC), Retail teams Supply Chain, Customer Service and Finance teams and externally with Service Providers to achieve customer experience and cost goals. The Senior Manager provides business and logistics expertise to ensure optimal delivery service solutions and focus on carrier and performance management. Main tasks/objectives: * Performance and capacity management * Maintain and develop SLA’s with Logistics providers through daily management and process improvements, e.g. through Kaizen projects * Analyze and optimize existing Carrier and Amazon managed transportation networks * Manage logistics provider relationship including regular detailed business operations reviews with vendors. * Manage all outbound transportation costs by achieving rate and process improvements * Monitor and analyze customer experience * Program Management * Manage DE Transportation team * Travel required Basic Qualifications: * Strong Supply Chain and Logistics background, with considerable proven experience within fast moving international companies renowned for their state-of-the-art Supply Chain and Logistics practice. * Excellent leadership skills * Demonstrated experience of successfully driving complex, milestone driven projects * Excellent track record managing and improving service levels and customer experience * Advanced degree such as an MSc in a Logistics, Business, or Economics based discipline and an MBA is desirable * Lean Management/Kaizen experience * Highly analytical and data-driven Preferred Qualifications * Consistently insist on highest standard and raise the bar * Highly energetic, dynamic individual * Able to dive deep , hands-on and able to roll up sleeves, * Strategic thinking * Curious and adaptable, at ease in fast-changing environments * Fast pace problem solver, sense of urgency, “walks the talk” Applications with English CV only please Are you interested?
