Tasks:
We are looking for a highly qualified senior scientist / engineer in the field of power electronics.
You will work on the fascinating boundary of research, development, and business-relevant application. Your technical and cross-cultural communicational skills will be required to establish the link between internal research, academia, external associations, and ABB’s international business units.
You will initiate and coordinate research projects for industrial power electronics solutions based on sound technical analysis and business considerations. The ideal candidate is an acknowledged expert in at least one of the following areas:
* Power electronics
* Drive technology
* Converters, switches
* Protection systems
* Application know-how in the field of power semiconductor devices
Requirements:
We expect an above average degree in electrical
engineering or physics. Professional experience in
the area of industrial sensors as well as industrial
application know-how is of advantage but not a
prerequisite. We expect strong communication and
presentation skills. You speak and write English
fluently; a good command of the German language
is beneficial, but not immediately required.
