We are seeking an engineer with proven experience in a sales role or an engineer willing to move to a sales role from support, product development, marketing or project management, but with experience in dealing with key accounts. This is particularly important for those candidates without direct sales experience. Location: the position will be home based ideally in one of the following locations: Stuttgart or Munich area. Key Account Sales Engineer (m/f) – Germany Knowledge and understanding of at least one of the following markets is desirable: * Aerospace & Defence market (customers, technologies, challenges) * Automotive market (customers, technologies, challenges) * Environmental Noise market (customers, technologies, challenges) Knowledge and understanding of at least one of the following applications is desirable: * Sound and vibration measurement and analysis solutions * Test and measurement (including production test) The successful applicant will be responsible for selling our Sound & Vibration solutions to customers in one of the markets described above. What do we expect from you? Key Function * Ensuring sales of products, services and solutions are achieved to meet or exceed targets Main Tasks include: * Ensuring sales targets and forecasts are achieved * Fulfilling responsibilities to achieve goals * Promoting products and solutions to the market * Communicating and interacting with customers, partners and other Brüel & Kjaer departments * Prospecting for new customers and opportunities * Developing Brüel & Kjaer’s market share * Qualifying and determining customer needs and challenges * Preparing and following up on major quotations and opportunities * Negotiating and closing orders * Forecasting * Managing opportunity funnel (pipelines) * Completing all activities in Customer Relationship Management system Qualification/Skills: * University degree in Engineering * Fluent English and German, both spoken and written * Additional European languages (such as French, Spanish or Italian) would be beneficial * Knowledge in the principles of Engineering, ideally including acoustics and vibration * Knowledge of, or the ability to learn and apply + acoustic and vibration solutions and applications + customer management, challenges and expectations + strategic selling methods (benefits/values) * Good commercial understanding * Good communication and interpersonal skills and competent in presenting to an audience (both external and internal) * Good IT knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet etc.) * Productive, efficient, effective and self-motivated * Customer & business focused * Strong self organizational and planning skills * Ability to work in multi-discipline and international teams * Good negotiation skills * Ability to work as part of a team and with other teams * Positive attitude towards challenges and difficulties * Absolute integrity and ethical behavior * Manage and adapt to a changing business environment * Willingness and ability to travel for cu
