To pursue our ambitious growth strategy, we are looking for a Head of System Engineering(m/f). In this position, directly reporting to the CTO, you will ensure the performance, availability and scalability of our platform as well as support the developers rolling out new features or new services.Your responsibilities will be:·         Provide leadership to a team of highly skilled, motivated Sysadmins and build them to a winning team·         Serve as a technical expert in system administration in a large and complex eCommerce environment and act as specialist on multiple platforms supporting enterprise wide operations·         Provide a strategic vision of the system growth in one of the fastest growing eCommerce companies in Europe·         Be involved in planning, design, implementation, and support of infrastructure for business-critical production environments including: deployment of servers, monitoring, process improvement, analysis, and resolution of application related issues·         Be accountable for customer satisfaction of delivery of services·         Create and maintain technical documentation as it relates to systems, infrastructure, and processes·         Implement IT standards and best practicesYou come with:·         Deep knowledge of Linux, no matter the flavor (we use Debian and Ubuntu)·         Experience with high traffic complex web applications, ideally built in a scripting language (PHP, Ruby, Python)·         Configuration management tools like Puppet·         Docker·         Services like Solr, RabbitMQ, Memcached (with mcrouter)·         Advanced MySQL administration knowledge (optimization, replication, backups)·         System and application level monitoring tools (New Relic, Nagios, Logstash)·         Experience with AWS administration as a big plus.·         Willingness to get your hands into the code if you need to although you are not a developer·         Up-to-date knowledge of the latest tools and trends and no fear to try them when you have the opportunityWe offer:·         A truly shaping tech position with high degrees of responsibility and autonomy·         Plenty of room for personal growth, professional development and high impact·         A highly talented, dynamic, and international team·         Entrepreneurial experience in a well-financed, high-growth eCommerce company·         Work equipment of your choice
