Power Distribution Components Division (Eaton EMEA) located in Vienna has an opening for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer - Software development The primary function of this position:Develops software applications for embedded systems using latest software technologies Prepares software system architecture conceptsConducts feasibility studies, prepares design and test documentation, programs software applications under highest quality and economic criteriaExecutes SW projectsEssential Functions:· Performs technical feasibility studies for new software, products and applications· Prepares design and test documentation· Designs and programs graphical user interfaces GUI· Develops and programs software applications on embedded systems for Building Automation applications · Conducts code module reviews with other team members, tests and integration tests· Provides support for field trials and early adopters· Maintains software that is already released · Studies new software technologies applicable for Building Automation solution· Maintains Polarion project relevant information (e.g. requirements, test cases, bug tracking)Qualifications:• Technical education • Demonstrated technical experience on senior level in Java and Java script, Java OSGi, C, XML, TCP/IP, HTTP, LINUX• Experience in design of software for embedded systemsFollowing experience will be welcome:• Good German and English language skills (written and spoken)• Experience/knowledge in Eclipse SDK, ProSyst OSGi, SCRUM - XT programming, Android/iOS, Web-based GUI design (e.g. jQuery, HTML, CSS ), Embedded hardware (preferably ARMx based), Home/Building Automation technologies/applications wired and wireless• Java certification• Life Cycle Management System (Polarion)• Czech language skills would be an advantageWhat Eaton offers:•Competitive compensation and benefits package•Permanent contract in fast growing global company •Challenging projects in dynamic collaborative team•Excellent working environment – safety and ethics is really important for us•Great promotional opportunities – Eaton encourages internal promotion, whenever possibleIf interested, please apply online:https://sjobs.brassring.com/1033/asp/tg/cim_jobdetail.asp?Partnerid=256&Siteid=5103&AReq=83710BR
