Data Specialist
If you like me, since I was a child, have had a passion for
all things gadgets and of course gaming – this company could be the next best

As a first addition to the team – already over 60 strong –
there is a real need for Data Analysts who really have a passion or liking at
least, for using big data. If you have this but also the desire to bring out
the best in a product and the following, you probably fit the bill:
o
The
completion of a relevant degree (Maths, Computer Science, Statistics, Business)
o
2-3 years
of data analysis work in a commercial environment – generally in business
intelligence or preferably in a digital advertising setting
o
Strong
statistical and analytical skills with the proven ability to demonstrate data
interpretation capabilities
o
Solid
knowledge of a wide range of statistical methods e.g. for segmentation,
regression, simulation and prediction
o
Expertise
in data extraction, manipulation and visualization e.g. using SQL, NoSQL,
Excel, BI tools, Hadoop - as well as relevant programming skills (e.g. R)
o
Strong
familiarity with digital performance measurement is a sure bonus - e.g.
advertising data available from MetaMarkets and DMP's or other digital
measurement tools like KissMetrics or Google Analytics
o
Technical
expertise in databases or development is a plus (i.e. R or Python)
o
Relevant
B.Sc (Computer Science, Math, Statistics). M.Sc or PhD – significant advantage
With your primary focus being on data analysis, you will be
the centre-piece in attracting attention and thus success to our new
product-line. Through complex analysis, your vision will be implemented to
increase our advertising proficiency. Below is an outline of what you should
expect from the position:
o
Lead the analysis of advertising and using
"big data" to drive automation and bidding strategy
o
Using analytical, statistical and database
skills to generate insights into large, complex datasets; with the aim to
increase advertising efficiency and overall efficiency of the product
o
Develop complex algorithms for automated
decision making for our campaign & targeting setup, budget allocation, real
time bidding and performance optimisation
o
Work closely with clients and internal
stakeholders to understand ou
