Then you should apply for our exiting role of Senior Infrastructure Engineer (IS). Located in our headquarters in Berlin, Germany, the position will report to the Head of Data Center Solutions & Services and will be part of the IS structure. GENERAL BACKGROUND The Data Center Solutions & Services team is part of the IS structure and responsible within Bombardier for the entire Data Centre infrastructure (2 major, 4-6 regional and 20-40 local data centers), while also for our Global WAN and LANs (in over 200 locations). KEY RESPONSABILITIES & CHALLENGES * Enhance the performance and stability of our global platforms; * Contribute to solution design and implementation; * Translate requirements, design and solution architecture deliverables into infrastructure specifications; * Provide Subject Matter expertise and coordination for all involved parties in 3rd level issues (onshore and offshore); * Manage suppliers to the best possible performance (SLA, KPI and Financial Monitoring) * Interface with other IS Teams and Functions; QUALIFICATIONS Process related experience * Experience in using and improvement of ITIL based processes; * Experienced in working in an Agile/SCRUM team; Technology related knowledge/experience * Strong System Administration experience in Linux and Windows (experience in other Unix flavours a plus) and good knowledge of System Administration scripting skills; * Experience in Open Source configuration Management Systems (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Salt); * Extensive experience servicing large corporate infrastructure which should encompass mainly VMWare and optionally Citrix and Microsoft virtualization technologies; * Thorough knowledge of Storage technologies such as (but not limited to): NetApp ONTAP versions 8.x 7-mode and HP 3PAR; * Good experience with networking environments, routing, switching, firewall administration, load balancing (mainly on Juniper, Cisco and Riverbed); * Previous work experience with Database Systems (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and Middleware (Tomcat, Websphere); * Knowledge and hand-on experience with Enterprise level backup solutions. Management and other skills * A strong infrastructure support background combined with leadership experience are essential for the role; * Good communication skills (in English), independent, flexible and strong leadership; * Experience with internal/external stakeholder management within different time zones; Why to Work for Us?
