Our client is a renowned Wind Turbine Manufacturer with an international portfolio in the onshore and offshore market. Since the grounding of the German entity, our client has taken over major market shares within the industry, fostering business worldwide, with joint ventures manifesting from formidable work with companies from Asia, the Americas and Europe. With further growth and development plans, our client still stands amongst the top manufacturers with a highly recognized quality acumen and innovation-drive behind its products. Now for the enhancement of the Tower Design Team, our client is looking for Team Leaders to manage the Structural and Internals design teams to be based in Hamburg. The role includes the following tasks: - resource planning - hiring, execution of annual staff dialogue, salary reviews, definition of further education / training for team members - responsible for the allocation of team members to design projects in alignment with the R&D project managers, the counterpart in Denmark - defining project scopes in the area of responsibility - ensuring that all deliverables of the team are economically viable, technical state of the art and of high quality - responsible for the implementation of Engineering Quality Reviews and Engineering Change Management with all relevant interfaces and stakeholders - responsible for the selection and management of internal and external suppliers as well as monitoring and ensuring the supplier quality together with the procurement, project management and quality department Education: - Team Lead Towers Structural Design: technical degree in civil/structural engineering - Team Lead Towers Internals Design: technical degree in mechanical engineering or civil/structural engineering Experience & Knowledge: - Up to 3 years of experience in engineering towers for wind turbines is required - 5 - 10 years of experience in engineering in an international organization is an asset - Experience in functional and / or preferably disciplinary management of engineering teams - Experience in negotiation and cooperation with international teams, suppliers and authorities - Fluent German and English is required
