Group Leader – Scientific & Regulatory Affairs Chocolate EU (m/f) ID 1505233 Bremen, Germany or Bournville, UK Your challenges: * Monitoring & communication of developments in Regulatory & Scientific Affairs EU legislation to relevant stakeholders providing guidance & leadership in those topics * Ensuring regulatory and company policy compliance in the design, manufacture and marketing of chocolate products across EU markets * Providing technical advice to Legal, Corporate Affairs and Commercial teams on advertising and external communications * Identifying & Advising on potential risks to the business with regard to exemption & deviation requests * Representing the business at external meetings & professional body/ lobbying events * Leading & developing 4-8 direct reports who are placed across EU region For this role you will need to have: * Educated to degree level ideally in Food Chemistry, Food Technology, Engineering, Food Science or Nutrition (or equivalent) * In-depth understanding and knowledge of EU Food Legislation (current & emerging) * Extensive experience within Food Regulatory Affairs with an established background in R&D or Quality * Fluent in English, ideally good German language skills, another European language is beneficial * Experience of managing a team of remote direct reports * Strong project management, problem solving & organisational skills * Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels, particularly with remote stakeholders * Ideally experience in working with a specification management system When you look at the shelves of your local newsagent or supermarket, you’ll probably spot quite a few of our delicious brands.
